Andre Rehal is a freelance director based out of Toronto whose work features range in various digital mediums, shooting styles, and genres.

He attended Carleton University in Ottawa where he majored in film studies, gaining theoretical knowledge of cinema while he pursued practical experience through his independent shorts. After graduation, he attended the Advanced Television and Film program at Sheridan College, with a masterclass focus on Directing and Screenwriting. Upon graduating ATVF he received the “Most Promising Student” award from Panavision.

Currently, Andre is working in the mediums of short film, music video, and viral commercials. He has directed many MuchFACT funded music videos and worked with artists such as Maestro Fresh Wes, Kardinal Offishall, Rich Kidd, Lord Quest, Promise, JiMMY BRiCKZ, Rezonate, and Eminence.

His short film B&E screened at the 2016 LAKE CHAMPLAIN Film Festival in New York while his short PRIDE screened the year before and enjoyed an online premiere on Film Shortage. His short GREY was in competition at the 2011 Aesthetica Film Festival and won for best editing at the 2013 Totally Illegal Film Festival. His short film NEW DOMAIN screened at the 2013 ReelWorld Film Festival in Toronto and was developed through the YEAA ACTRA program.

Andre is currently in production on his first feature film along with other long format narrative projects.
